Salesforce.com Developer/Administrator

Working with the Heads of Product and Sales, the Salesforce Developer/Administrator will lead the ongoing development and support of our Salesforce.com environment.  The successful candidate will have a proven record of success in improving processes and adoption using Salesforce. Responsible for day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, development and improvement of our Salesforce.com instance, you will be Merlon & XYPRO’s Salesforce guru. This individual will report to the EVP of Sales and Marketing.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as primary system administrator, developer and end-user support

  • Handle all admin functions including user account maintenance, data cleanup, reports, dashboards, workflows and other related tasks

  • Extend Salesforce functionality using APEX, VisualForce and other development tools

  • Manage data feeds and other 3rd party integrations

  • Research, recommend, install, and integrate 3rd party applications and Salesforce add-ons

  • Integrate internal tools & software as needed to improve business workflow

  • Ensure the Salesforce environments are properly updated and maintained

  • Develop and communicate training for users

  • Maintain end-user guides, release notes and all support documentation, including tracking bugs, enhancements and features

  • Partner with leadership to recommend solutions to business needs based upon ongoing research into new system features and functionality

  • Partner with developers and vendors to ensure business requirements are fully implemented, thorough testing is complete, and system quality maintained

  • Partner with Salesforce support to create and update support cases to ensure functional and technical issues have been resolved. Properly communicate the updates to the internal stakeholders.

  • Effectively manage projects including timelines, resource allocation, communication, risk management

Position Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with SalesForce.com Administration and Development

  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption

  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views and other complex processes

  • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical and business requirements

  • Extremely effective at communicating and working with others

  • Ability to self-manage workload

  • Salesforce.com certification(s) preferred

  • Passport & ability to travel without restriction to the United States up to 10%
